IT'S THE ODDEST THING

It's the oddest thing, you and I have never met before-
yet seeing you here has shaken me, to the very core-

I know that we could have never felt each other in love's embrace-
but something stirred inside of me, the moment I saw your face-

It's the oddest thing, my ancient love, how you speak right to my heart
though we have spent two very different lives, living far apart-

I cannot help but recognize your every word and every action-
this thing I feel is much more, Dear, than just a TAGGED attraction-

In fact, my heart does know you, though we've only now just met-
It's as though your soul is the one thing that my soul would not forget-

And yes, we've only drawn the first light curve of love's vignette-
It's the oddest thing that we've never been in love, at least not yet...
