A Million Moons- a poem

I think about it often,-
the love I have for you-

The thought of all you represent,-
all that we've both been through-

And though we've had our down and outs-
our hopes and dreams come true-

I just can't see another life-
without my having you-

A million moons could not eclipse the love I have for you-
A million seas could never drown a love that is so true-
A million men could never pull or push my love from you-
and every time I see your face my love is born anew-

I dream about it often-
The pact that we both made-

Your promise is like heaven's light-
A sweet and constant shade-

A ocean full of years from now-
you'll still be by my side-

A love that is my everything-
the love that you provide-

A million suns could not outshine the happiness we share-
A million swords could never cut this bond that is so rare-
A million flames could never burn away how much I care-
and every time I hold you, Love, God answers my prayer-

Fallen: a poem

I've fallen for your beauty, a fantasy made real-
I swear, upon beholding you my charging heart stood still-
and all the stars upon the sky grew dim against your light-
and with each movement of your mouth, my fantasies took flight-

I've fallen for your kindness, benevolent and pure-
for all the world's deep pain and angst your heart would surely cure-
I'd never know a kinder soul, if granted endless days-
A truer friend does not exist, I sing your spirit's praise-

I've fallen for your dignity, your honest ways persists-
your tongue speaks only honest truth, here guilelessness exists-
You word is taken without doubt, assured is your expression-
You stand, steadfast, right and true, your word's without concession-

I've fallen for the lady that you are to those around you-
I'm happy that it was my fortune to have finally found you-
because I have, without a doubt, been blessed so endlessly-
to have been guided to the one that fell in love with me-

Touch: a poem

Touch my shoulders, feel the many worries that I've had-
The strain of struggling on the streets, a life without a dad-

Touch my chest then understand the heart that it contains-
A heart that loves, compassionate, a heart that has it's pains-

Touch my skin and hear the drums of African descent-
From the shores along the Nile, to State side discontent-

Touch my back, feel the strength of those that came before-
A people sold to slavery, they fought our freedom war-

Touch my thighs and see a hunter, running strong and free-
A man that runs a thousand miles, to sustain his family-

Now touch my mind with yours, delve deep within my world-
Let questions become answers, the mystery unfurled.

Touch my spirit, talk to me in ways that lifts me up-
Be my soul's sanctuary, my overflowing cup-

You've touched me, now you know me, I now belong to you-
I'll only give you honesty, a love that's pure and true-

But now that I lay here exposed, my walls rendered askew-
I pray and hope that you will please allow me to touch you-
